The SIGMA initiative (Southeast Asian Innovation Alliance for a Global Model of Future Agrifood Systems) is piloting a science-based, scalable approach to monitoring greenhouse gas emissions in rice production, with a focus on implementing alternative irrigation practices for smallholder farmers in Vietnam. SIGMA is seeking a Technical Expert based in the Mekong Delta to drive our MRV rice pilot project in Can Tho, Vietnam. As a 6-month freelance consultant (with possibility of renewal), you will join an elite team of scientists from the University University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the National University of Singapore to transform the future of sustainable agri-food systems.
